Bill Richardson would set allow every American to buy into the plan that our congresspersons and senators get:
If Bill Richardson were president, Americans would be eligible for the "Cadillac" of health coverage, the candidate maintains.
"Businesses and individuals should be able to get the Congressional plan. If you can get it for the Congress and federal government employees, you should be able to apply to the Cadillac plan that the Congress gets," he said Saturday.
Richardson, a Democrat and two-term New Mexico governor, introduced the possibility while talking about changes to he health-care system.
Before leaving for another event, Richardson said change is possible because "you would mandate that every American could purchase the ... federal health plan that every Congressman gets. In other words you could buy into," he said.
Why not? I certainly don't want the el camino of coverage, which is what I have now. Not quite, but I just like the way that sounds.
